Halloween Cards

I made some Halloween cards for our Grandchildren!
All cards were made using the Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fade - Halloween Background and Borders Set.   There is a video here, showing how to ink the folder before embossing.  I did not ink each word in a separate color like Tim did in his video.  I used only one color for each card.

Click each photo to enlarge.  I know you can't tell from the photo, but the pumpkin is attached with a home made wobble.  When you flick the pumpkin with your finger it wobbles back and forth and the Googly Eyes roll around.  I got the instructions for making home made wobbles from Linda Kaiser here.

Here is the inside of the card.

Supplies for this card:
  • Cricut E2 machine

An Ordinary Day

My grandchildren are my sunshine and my heart.  The little cutie in the layout below is our two year old Delaney.  We were taking a walk around the neighborhood and she decided she wanted to take her stroller and her baby doll with us.  She was fine just walking along until she discovered all the acorns that have dropped from the trees on to the sidewalk.

She immediately abandoned the baby and picked up as many acorns as her tiny little hands could hold.  I told her if she put them on the stump of the tree where a branch had been removed, that maybe a squirrel would come and get them for dinner.  That made her happy!

My Grandpa

This layout is of our granddaughter Delaney and her Grandpa.  She was playing around with a hat that belonged to her big sister and decided she wanted to wear it for awhile. She snuggled up into Grandpa's lap with a bowl of grapes to enjoy a story.  She is such a cutie and brings us so much JOY and laughter.

I totally "scraplifted" this design from Nichol Magourik.  I really love her scrapbooking style and wanted to see if I could do this.  I think my page turned our pretty well.  To see how talented Nichol is, visit her blog here.

Shall We Dance

My grandchildren are my heart and inspiration.  My dearest friend Linda gave us a bag of dance costumes that her granddaughter had outgrown.  My granddaughters had a ball, laughing, singing and dancing and posing for photos.  We had so much fun laughing with them and taking pictures and movies.  Here is a double page layout of some of the photos we took.  Click on any picture to enlarge.

I got the idea of using the larger filmstrip from a post on Okie's blog here.  I really love the layout she did of her daughter.  I have the Sizzix filmstrip die, but the frames are just too small and I liked the size of the filmstrip frames on Okie's scrapbook page.

Ingredients:
Shall We Dance - Cricut Cartridge
Stickles - Cotton Candy
Recollections Paper - Pink, Black
K and Company - Paper Doll Stack
Scrap N Easel

It's Your Birthday Card

When I saw this post on the The Paper Boutique blog, I knew I wanted to try to make this card.  Linda Kaiser has a video here, where she explains in detail how to make this card.  She provides the sizes of all layers and explains how to get the most out of the "Just A Note" Cricut cartridge on your E2.

Here is the card I made by following along on her video.

The supplies I used are:
  • K and Company Specialty cardstock
  • K and Company Adhesive Gems on the "a" in Birthday
  • Recollections Paper - Various Colors
  • Stickles - Cotton Candy and Diamond
  • Studio G Glitter Glue - Yellow

The photo below shows the back of the card. The birthday cake and the phrase fold in to the front.  Click on the photo to enlarge.

The photo below shows the inside of the card.  I wasn't going to show this because I didn't get the paper glued on evenly, but here it is anyway...  If I were going to give this card to someone, I would re-do the inside. Click on the photo to enlarge.

Please take a look at Linda's blog The Paper Boutique.  She is a very talented crafter!
